Native Trees of Delaware

Experience the giants of the plant world as you stroll through Mt. Cuba Center's extensive gardens and woodlands. Learn 20 of the most common native trees including oaks, maples, hickories, and American holly, Delaware's state tree. Use basic dendrology tools to recognize their bark, leaves, twigs, fruit, and form. Leave with the knowledge of how to use these key landscape players in your garden. Be prepared to walk outdoors.
This class qualifies for the following professional credits: 6 APLD, 3 DNLA, ISA, 4 NOFA, and 2 PLNA.
