Butterflies: Jewels of the Piedmont

From the tiniest Skipper to the giant Swallowtail, butterflies are a welcome addition to our gardens for both pollination purposes and their exquisite beauty. Steve presents information on the diversity, life history, and conservation of local butterflies in order to gain a deeper understanding of the roles they play in nature and their interactions with garden plants. He also discusses recent research findings regarding the effects of fire on butterflies.   

This class will be held virtually online via GoToTraining.
