Claudia is a leading voice in the field of ecological planting design and a principal of Phyto Studio, a landscape architecture firm dedicated to crafting artistic and technical solutions for the next green revolution. She is the coauthor of Planting in a Post-Wild World and advocates for the use of American native plants in our landscapes. Claudia holds a Master's Degree of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
Susan is an extension specialist and associate professor in the Plant and Soil Science Department at the University of Delaware. Along with partners, she developed the Plants for a Livable Delaware Program and researched and implemented new roadside vegetation management strategies. Susan also works closely with the nursery and landscape industry, writing newsletters, organizing short courses, and conducting horticulture industry expos. She received the 1995 Nursery Extension Award and the 2007 Ratledge Award.
